Briar — Fringed Hand-Tooled Cowhide Clutch

Price$143.00 AUD

Colour:Brown & White

Briar is a generously proportioned cowhide clutch, cut for the days that ask for more than a slim envelope bag can carry. The front panel is genuine premium hair-on cowhide, its natural hide given a hand-tooled, hand-carved floral motif, while leather fringes fall from both sides for movement and texture the tooling alone doesn't give. The back panel is finished in plain leather for quiet contrast, and the whole piece closes along a smooth top zip.

Every Briar is cut and finished from a single hide, so the marking, the density of the hide's pattern, and the exact play of colour are yours alone — a feature of genuine cowhide, never a flaw, and the reason no two clutches in this range are ever quite the same.

The Clutch

Built to do more

Our clutches start as genuine leather, chosen for construction built to outlast a single night out rather than just survive it. It's the kind of piece that moves easily from an evening bag to something you'd reach for on a normal day.

Inside, a zip pocket and card slots keep the essentials organised rather than loose at the bottom of the bag, while a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap and a separate detachable wrist strap let Briar move between an evening clutch, a day sling, and, packed for a trip, an oversized pouch for everything a getaway tends to accumulate. The fringing gives Briar more movement than a flat clutch usually has, so it reads as comfortably by day, slung across the body on a market morning, as it does held at dinner, where the tooled panel and the fringe both do the talking.

Aftercare

Keep it looking this good

Leather ages best with a little attention. Keep pieces away from direct heat and prolonged sun, wipe spills promptly with a dry cloth, and condition every few months with a leather-safe balm to stop it drying out. Store stuffed with tissue to hold its shape when not in use.

Leather that's built to age well

Every piece in the Cuerava edit is chosen for genuine leather and construction that holds up — not fast fashion, not disposable. We pick pieces we’d carry ourselves, then let the leather do the rest: it darkens, softens, and gets better with use.
